Due to the great number of applications, the Scientific Committee of the SIXTH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON MOUNTAIN AND STEEP SLOPE VITICULTURE “Heroic viticulture: from grape to wine through sustainability and quality” has decided to postpone the deadline for the abstract submission to January 15 and the answer about the work acceptance to January 31.

The SIEA Best Paper Award 2016 has been assigned by the SIEA Presidential Board to the article "Consumers’ Preferences and Willingness-To-Pay for Misfit Vegetables", authored by Marcello Di Muro, Rungsaran Wongprawmas, and Maurizio
Canavari and published in Economia Agro-Alimentare, volume18 (2016), issue 2.
The Award has been delivered to the parents of the main author, Marcello Di Muro, during the SIEA annual social dinner.

Economia Agro-alimentare is now indexed in the World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report of Scientific and Tecnological Periodicals, an initiative developed by the China Academic Journals Electronic Publishing House Co., Ltd. and commissioned by the China Association for Science and Technology.
The index incorporates an evaluation of Web attention in the International and Chinese scientific audience.

Scopus has introduced an improved CiteScore methodology. CiteScore 2019 now counts the citations received in 2016-2019 to articles, reviews, conference papers, book chapters and data papers
published in 2016-2019, and divides this by the number of publications published in 2016-2019.
The CiteScore of Economia agro-alimentare is 0.9 in 2019 (up 50% compared to 2018). This score allows the journal to rank in the 41st percentile in the Social Sciences (miscellaneous)
category.
The ranking in the Economics and Econometrics category improves from the 24th percentile (#468/617) in 2018 to the 32nd percentile (#430/637).
We mourn the passing of Fausto Cantarelli, founder of our journal, one of the most passionate supporters of the importance of the integrated study of agro-food systems. His vision of quality and marketing as the main determinants of the success of agri-food products on national and international markets and of the supply chain as the backbone of the systemic development of territories have anticipated important developments in our discipline.

The Editorial Board of Economia agro-alimentare / Food Economy, the Publishing Team at FrancoAngeli Edizioni and the Presidential Board of the Italian Society of Agri-food Economics, are delighted to announce that the journal has been accepted in Scopus for its valuable contribution to the field of agricultural and food systems economics and policy.
Depending on the completion of the necessary agreements between Scopus and the publisher, the archive of the journal should be indexed in few months.

The Congress is organized by CERVIM (Centre for Research, Environmental Sustainability and Advancement of Mountain Viticulture), with Gobierno de Canarias, Cabildo de Tenerife, Ayuntamiento de La Laguna and with the scientific collaboration of CREA (Council for Agricultural Research and Economics).
